Neuroenteric stimulation in health: report of three clinical cases

Abstract: The gut has gained increasing attention for being fundamental not only to digestion but also to overall health, including brain function and the regulation of mood. Neuroenteric Stimulation emerges as a promising therapeutic technique by acting on the electrical stability of enteroneurons, improving intestinal blood circulation, and modulating the gut–brain axis. This study presents a report of three cases with different diagnoses: fibromyalgia, motor sequelae of ischemic stroke, and severe intestinal constipation, in which Neuroenteric Stimulation demonstrated positive effects. Electrical and magnetic stimuli were applied to points on the neuroenteric map located on the abdominal surface, whose areas correspond to regions in the brain. The results are promising and represent initial observations arising from the author’s clinical practice. Neuroenteric Stimulation is a promising technique for fibromyalgia, stroke sequelae, and constipation, but it may also be applicable to other neurological and intestinal conditions.
Descriptors: Gut Stimulation, Constipation, Chronic Pain, Neuroplasticity.
